How will it feel to stand on a new shore-line, at the edge of a new ocean I have not seen before – to be an explorer?
How will it feel to pick grapes in Italy; to toboggan in Switzerland, to hike in Iceland, see Hadrian’s wall and wonder what life was like for the people there and then? How will I feel upon completion of riding around Australia and learning from Shaman there? How will I feel when I visit Austria – the birthplace of many great composers? How about hiking Tour de Mont Blanc? The 12-14 day hike around the base of Europe’s highest mountain. The hike will take me through France, Switzerland and Italy.

What did Christopher Columbus feel before his ship sailed, before the ropes were untied holding him fast to the dock? What did Marco Polo feel before he embarked on his first journey and many thereafter? What were their preparations? How did it affect those they left behind – both at home and abroad. I have always been curious and this has been a great teacher for me. I do hope I have enriched the lives of all.
It is a sobering thought when I realize the journey I have chosen to embark on. I have made it believable to me. It has knocked down walls and given me a broader perspective. I am a changed man because of it. When I meet you on the road I hope I enrich your life.

Getting here – my entire life has been over shadowed – living under an umbrella and hiding who I am. That fear has become an unbearable load – Stage Fright and all. But – there have always been flashes of light to help me stay the course. People that brightened my way. People that led by example. People that have kindness built into their DNA. Chris, Jeremy, Leighton, Cindy, Karen, John, Isy, Catherine, Bobbi and Patricia, Elke, Jack, James, Justin, Nick, Lorne and Darlene, Dawn – and my soul, kindness and inner vision. Also, my own curiosity have all inspired me in one way or another.
When I have raised the capital to complete getting ready I will shove off. Playing guitar, singing, dancing, writing, video reels and this website shall keep me more than flush on my trek. Hallelugh, VB.
