Here it is February, almost St. Valentines Day.
I am learning new songs to play and sing. I am looking at writing my own too. I am learning how to use my new web-site — any website! I am finding new venues to play in. I am still working on stage fright. I am planning world-wide routes for the next five years. Busy times, Fun Times. Times of great learning and preparation.

In long form; around BC, across Canada, around The Great Lakes, Maritimes (Cabot Trail , Peggy’s Cove etc), PEI. My original plan was to leave third week of August taking five to six weeks to cross Canada West to East before crossing the border south. Across our common border, down the Eastern Seaboard to Key West. I thought I would pop over to Cuba and ride there for a month. I had no idea there is still a travel and trade embargo up. So back up Florida then across The Old Spanish Trail to The Pacific. Next down to Cabo for the winter. Up Route 66 in the spring, hike The Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Monument Valley, around The Great Lakes again and back home to BC.
My original plan was to be a one year trip around North America. When I shifted gears to make this a five year world-wide trip – I chose to push my start date forward. So, I had stuff to work on – both external and internal.” When there is no doubt in the mind or heart there are no obstacles on the road.”
Externally – customizing my bike, trailer and sound system as needed, watching a plethora of travel shows on PBS and The Knowledge Network (I haven’t really had my own tv for thirty years), loosely planning my routes and stayovers, getting a website created, learning new computer skills…
Internally – doing Yoga and Pilates daily (I will be in the saddle 70-80 percent of days), learning how to play for an audience/in front of an audience (confronting fears and giving them a good ass-kicking), numerous chance meetings with Alice and Albert Public for great local intel from all over the world, making choices what to pack and what not to pack (some stuff I can rent and return for long hikes),

“I am getting ready to ride The Invincible Rainbow.” (or a neon rainbow)
